The Ultimate Spring Over Axle Rockcrawler YJ
Our shop masterpiece. Requirements? It has to be just shy of a buggy, and still be all Jeep. Must be rock solid on the street and amazing on the trail. Have gobs of travel (1271 on the RTI). Be good on asphalt, mud, and rocks. Have sandpaper like traction.
We started with some 14″&12″ travel shocks, a set of Rubicon Express Springs, some Waggoneer Dana 44’s and a bunch of spare metal, and sat down with a ruler, cad, and started hacking and welding.
The results? One heck of a combination of engineering, custom suspension work, a TON of fabrication and about 500 hours of sweat by us and a bunch of friends. Below is the mods list, and you can view some more pictures in the thread in the Younto.com forums.
